Welcome to The Angel Inn.

This amazing country pub is set just on the outskirts of Bristol in a beautiful village called Long Ashton. We offer a superb range of home-cooked foods (please click on our menu for more information) and you must check out our ‘What’s on page’ for our regular events including our monthly quiz night and live music events.

During the winter months we are very lucky to be able to light our open-fire places which really gives the pub a warm cosy feel especially on those freezing cold days. We also have a marquee outside in our courtyard which is illuminated with stunning fairy lights.

We are now back to operating a full bar service however for anyone who would like table service we are more than happy to do this. Tables can be booked in advance but please note that during peak times we may have to limit your table stay to 3 hours.  We will only hold a table reservation for a maximum of 30mins especially during peak times after this time your table maybe allocated to someone else.

If you require any further information or would like to reserve a table please feel free to contact the pub on (01275) 392244 or send a message to 07813 972836.

We look forward to welcoming you very soon.

History of this old pub

The earliest records for this building date back to 1495 when it became the Church House. It was used as a sort of parish hall for meetings and social events, the most important being the 'Church Ale'. This was held several times a year, whereby church wardens sold food and ale to raise funds for the church, together with dancing, plays and other festivities.
